Step:
Soak the tarmarind into 3/4 cup warm water for 30mins.extract the juice of tarnarind and discard seeds and any pulp that remains.
Heat oil in a wide pan and add chana dal and mustard seeds+peanut.let the mustard seeds pop and the peanuts roast to a golden brown.
Then add curry leaves+hing+dry red chilli and onions.saute for 2 to 3 mints.add the tarmarind extract+salt and bring to a boil.boil untill it thickens a bit.
Add cooked rice and mix it well and cook for 5 to 6 mins.let the rice sit for at least one hour before serving.
Serve with papad and coconut red chilli chutney.

1 Tamarind ball(lemon sized)
to taste Salt
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp black mustard
1 tbsp raw peanut
1 tsp chana dal
leaves Few curry
2 dry red chilli
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 tsp hing
4 cups cooked rice
