Step:

  1. Take poha in a colander and wash under running water. Once washed nicely toss it and keep it in the colander only for the excess water to drain out.

  2. In a pan heat 2 tbsp oil and roast 2 tbsp peanuts on low flame, roast until the peanuts turn crunchy.

  3. Take them out with a slotted spoon and keep aside

  4. In the same oil, splutter 1 tsp mustard, and few curry leaves.

  5. Now add 1 onion, 2 chilli and saute onions till they turn slightly pink.

  6. Now add peas and saut for 5-7 minutes

    Add tsp turmeric and saute well.

  7. Now add in the washed poha and mix gently until everything is combined well.

  8. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until the flavours are absorbed well.

  9. Add sugar, 2 tbsp coriander, 2 tsp lemon juice and mix gently.

  10. Enjoy kanda poha topped with some sev, bhujia or some extra spicy peanuts and a cup of tea.

  3. 3/4 tsp salt
  4. 1 tbsp oil
  5. 2 tbsp peanuts
  6. 1/2 cup frozen peas
  7. 1 tsp mustard Seeds
  8. as needed few curry leaves
  9. 1 onion, finely chopped
  10. 2 chilli, finely chopped
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  12. 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  13. 2 tsp lemon juice
