Step:
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large heavy pan. Add the onions and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until golden.
Add mushrooms and cook over high heat until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside
Heat up the remaining oil and brown the meat in batches. Transfer to another improve casserole dish. Add half the potatoes, mushrooms and onions. Scatter over the garlic. Top with remaining meat, potatoes and mushrooms.
Add stock to the pan and scrape the base to get all the crunchy tasty bits. Stir in the pasta (tomatoes). Simmer for 1 minute and pour over the casserole. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and bake the two hours.

1 large onion, chopped
500 g large portobello mushrooms sliced
10 small new potatoes, halved
2 cloves garlic, crushed
190 g jar sun dried tomatoes
330 mL beef stock
to taste Salt and freshly ground pepper,
