Step:
Rinse and lay dry pork butt. Place in large slow cooker and poke several times all over with fork.
Rub pork with Hawaiian sea salt until completely covered.
Pour liquid smoke evenly over the salt rubbed pork. Cover top of crock pot with foil to help create extra steam and then place the slow cooker lid on top.
Cook on low for 12-18 hours in slow cooker. Pork is done when it is juicy and falls apart.
When ready, use a fork to shred pork into small pieces, allowing the fat and juices to mix with the meat for an even consistency and flavor.

3 tbsp Alaea sea salt (Hawaiian Red Sea salt)
2 tbsp hickory flavored liquid smoke
