Step:

  1. Preheat oven to 190.

  2. finely chop beetroot in food processor, add all remaining ingredients except oil and choc chips.Process until smooth. Gradually add oil.

  3. Stir in chocolate, spoon into greased cake tin. Bake 45 - 55 mins. Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.

  2. 1/4 tsp salt
  3. 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  4. 1 cup cocoa
  5. 1 tbsp baking powder
  6. 3/4 cup caster sugar
  7. 1/2 cup apple puree
  8. 3 eggs
  9. 2 tsp vanilla
  10. 3/4 cup sunflower oil
  11. 1/3 cup dark choc chips
