Step:

  1. Boil chicken or chicken parts with Lawry's seasoned salt. Remove chicken; take meat off bones and cut in chunks.

  2. Add carrots, celery, and onion to broth and simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. Add peas, corn, chicken noodle soup mix and cut up chicken and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Thicken gravy with corn starch; and season with poultry seasoning and pepper.

  5. Serve with Tea Biscuits (recipe below)

  6. DIRECTIONS FOR TEA BISCUITS: Mix all ingredients (except milk) tog with pastry blender.

  7. Add milk . . . enough to take up all crumbs but not enough to make dough too wet.

  8. Knead on floured board. Roll the dough to about 1-1/2" thickness and then cut out into biscuits with a 2 to 3" cutter.

  9. Prick twice with fork. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 425°F for 15 to 17 min.

  1. 1 cut-up chicken, or chicken parts or your choice
  2. 2 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt.
  3. 2 cup carrots, cut up
  4. 1/2 cup celery
  5. 1 medium onion, diced
  6. 2 cup peas
  7. 2 cup corn
  8. 5 tbsp cornstarch
  9. 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  10. 1/4 tsp pepper
  11. 1 envelope chicken noodle soup mix
  12. Tea Biscuits
  13. 2 cup flour
  14. 2 heaping tsp baking powder (1 level tbsp)
  15. 1/4 tsp salt
  16. 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp white sugar
  17. 1/4 cup lard or shortening
  18. 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp mik
