Step:

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Coat the pork chops. Place in a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Add water to pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 1 hour or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the jelly. Add apples. Cook over low heat for 5-7 minutes or until apples are tender, turning occasionally. Serve with pork chops.

  3. TIP: Instead of looking in the packaged meat section of your supermarket for pork chops, go straight to the meat counter and ask for pork chops with the thickness you desire.

Ingredients

  1. 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  2. 1 1/2 tsp salt
  3. 1/2 tsp pepper
  4. 6 bone-in pork chops (1-1/2" thick each)
  5. 1/4 cup water
  6. 1 jar (12 oz) currant jelly
  7. 3 4 unpeeled green tart apples, thinly sliced.
