Step:

  1. Crush (muddle) the mint leaves in a 10 ounce glass with the sugar and water.

  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice.

  3. Add the bourbon.

  4. Mix vigorously.

  5. Fill the cup with more ice if needed.

  6. Decorate the drink with another sprig of mint.

  7. Add a slice of fruit if desired.

  3. 1 cup crushed ice
  4. 2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
