Step:

  1. Put the honeydew in a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Pour into a large cocktail shaker.

  3. Add lime juice, orange liqueur, tequila and agave syrup.

  4. On a small plate, combine the sugar and the salt.

  5. Rub rims if 2 rocks or margarita glasses with a lime wedge.

  6. Dip rims into sugar mixture to adhere.

  7. Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker and shake until very cold.

  8. Fill the sugar rimmed glasses with ice.

  9. Strain the cold margaritas into them and serve.

Ingredients

  1. 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
  2. 1 tbsp orange liqueur (I use Cointreau)
  3. 1/2 cup silver tequila
  4. 1 tsp sugar
  5. 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  6. 1 tsp light agave syrup
  7. 1 lime wedges
  8. 1/4 whole honeydew, seeded, peeled and cut into chunks (about 2 cups)
