Step:

  1. Heat oven to 375F

  2. Cream shortening and sugar til light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla.

  3. Combine dry ingredients and add in 2 batches til combined. Add chocolate chips and pecans and combine.

  4. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 8-10 mins til golden brown and delish.

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/4 cup Firmly packed brown sugar
  2. 3/4 stick OR 3/4 cup regular shortening, I use butter flavor crisco
  3. 2 tbsp Milk
  4. 1 tbsp Vanilla
  5. 1 large egg
  6. 1 3/4 cup AP flour
  7. 1 tsp Salt
  8. 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  9. 1 cup Chocolate chips
  10. 1 cup Chopped pecans (optional)
