Step:
Add Semolina to a pan along with full fat milk and cook on a low to medium high heat until soft and thick. Remove it onto a serving dish and leave it on the counter to cool down.
Slice Pistachios and spread half of it onto the Semolina and milk mix in the serving dish. Reserve the other half of it for the final garnishing. Meanwhile, make a sugar syrup of little sticky consistency. There is no need of any string consistency here. Keep it aside. Don't forget to add in some Rosewater to it.
Whipping cream can be made at home or can be store bought. Spread a thick layer of freshly whipped cream on top. Garnish with Pistachio slivers and serve it chilled with a generous amount of sugar syrup being drizzled on top. Enjoy!
A Middle Eastern dessert popular in Levantine Countries like Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq. This is a lovely dessert mildly sweet with Semolina and cream being the two basic ingredients. There are umpteen variations of this but the basic one is with the above mentioned two ingredients. I have added Pistachio slivers not only as the garnish but also in between the layers for an added crunch. For people with Diabetes, it can be served without the Sugar syrup.A perfect dessert for any occasion
