Step:

  1. Soak moong dal for half an hour to one hour and drain off the excess water in a strainer.

  2. In a mixing bowl add strained moong daal, chopped cucumber, chopped chilli and chopped carrot. Mix well together.

  3. Add other ingredients together without chopped Coriander leaves. Give them a good mix.

  4. Salad is ready. Keep it in a refrigerator for 2 hours. Then serve it and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  5. Serve with rice, roti or you can eat plain. Enjoy.


Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup chopped carrot
  2. 1 cup Cucumber chopped as you like
  3. 1/2 cup soaked Moong Lentil
  4. 2 teaspoons chopped Coriander leaves
  5. 1 chopped green chilli (optional)
  6. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  7. 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  8. as per taste Salt
  9. 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds paste
  10. 1 pinch asafoetida /hing
  11. 1 teaspoon urad daal (optional)
