Step:

  1. Squeeze out excess water from chopped spinach and place in a grinder jar. Add green chillies and garlic cloves and grind. Add chickpeas and grind again.

  2. Add salt, garam masala powder and chaat masala and grind into a coarse mixture.

  3. Add poha (flattened rice) to this mixture and mix well again.

    Transfer into a bowl and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Cut processed cheese into small cubes.
    Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.

    Add breadcrumbs to the spinach mixture and mix well.

  5. Grease your palms with oil and divide the spinach mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls. Stuff each ball with a cheese cube and shape into tikkis.

  6. Place tikkis on the pan and shallow-fry till evenly golden from both the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.

  7. Serve hot with sweet red chilli sauce.

  1. 2 bunches Spinach leaves (palak) blanched and chopped
  2. 1 cup Chickpeas (chole) boiled
  3. 1 cup wet poha (flattened rice)
  4. 2 Green chillies
  5. 4-5 Garlic cloves
  6. to taste Salt
  7. 2 tsp Garam masala powder
  8. 1 1/2 cup Chaat masala
  9. 100 grams Processed cheese
  10. As needed Oil for shallow-frying and greasing hands
  11. 1 cup Breadcrumbs
