Step:

  1. In a saucepan add grated mawa and cashews, saute on slow flame until light brown and aroma releases. Then add sugar and pistachios and cook for a while and add 1/2cup milk into it. Mix well and simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool down.

  2. Set oven to preheat for 180° C for 7-8 mins.

  3. Churn the mawa and milk mixture with hand blender and make smooth batter.

  4. Into that batter, add vanilla essence, powdered sugar, butter melted and cardamom powder. Beat nicely and last add plain flour, baking powder and soda. (Taste the batter here, if there is less sweetness of batter then add more powdered sugar and adjust the sweetness.)

  5. Beat it nicely and add into greased and dusted tin. Tap twice and put it into oven.

  6. Bake at 160°C, for 25-30 mins. If not done then put it again for more 5 mins on medium heat.

  7. Serve hot with ice cream or remove from tin after cool down completely, put it into fridge and serve chilled.

  1. 1 cup plain flour
  2. 1 tbsp butter
  3. 1 tsp baking powder
  4. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  5. 1/4 tsp full cardamom powder
  6. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  7. 2 tbsp sugar
  8. 2 drops vanilla essence
  9. 1/2-1/2 cup milk
  10. 1/2 cup grated mawa (brown khoya)
  11. 7-8 pc chopped pistachios (unsalted)
  12. 4-5 pc chopped cashews
  13. tin Butter to grease
  14. For dusting Plain flour
