  1. In a large bowl stir together the flour, and shortening. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, salt, vinegar, egg and water. Blend all the ingredients to form a ball, add more water if necessary

  2. Chill the dough and use as needed

  3. 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  5. 1 egg beaten
  6. 4 tablespoons cold water
