Step:
To prepare the curd mixture, take curd and whisk properly until it gets smooth. Add gram flour, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt as required. Whisk all the ingredients properly. Add 3 cups of water, and stir to remove all the lumps.
To prepare the Punjabi kadhi, take a large pan and add 2 tbsp of mustard oil. Add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds, saute well for a minute. Add a pinch of asafoetida and allow the seeds to splutter. Chop the onions, ginger, garlic in a bowl. Add chopped onions to the pan and saute for a while. Then, add chopped ginger, green chilis. Add curry leaves and dry red chilli and stir properly for a while.
Add the curd mixture into the pan. Stir the ingredients properly and let the kadhi boil for about 15 minutes. Reduce the flame and let it simmer until it turns thick.Add kasuri methi.
Take a bowl, add mashed potatoes, green chilly, chopped onions, mango powder, cinamon powder, cumin powder, red chilly powder, corn flour and salt. Mix it well. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
Dissolve plain flour,1/4 tsp salt in water to make slurry to dip koftas in this slurry to avoid breaking of koftas.
Take small portion of mixture in your palm.Roll it with your palms to make the round shape balls. Dip the balls in slurry.Heat the wok with oil and deep fry it on low to medium flame till golden and crisp.
Fry 3-4 at a time. Take out the fried balls on a tissue paper to get rid of extra oil.
Now put the potatoes koftas in prepared kadhi.Do not boil kadhi after adding koftas as they are too soft to give a boil.
Transfer kadhi into serving bowl carefully.Garnish with fried chillies, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala and serve in your style.
