Step:

  1. Preheat over 350 degrees

  2. Melt butter

  3. Beat together butter and sugar until creamy

  4. Add vanilla and egg, beat until just incorporated

  5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt

  6. Add chocolate chips

  7. Roll into 12 large balls (will fit on one cookie sheet)

  8. Bake for 9-11 mins (cookies should look dry and only slightly golden, they'll look pale and puffy) DO NOT OVERBAKE

  9. Let them cool COMPLETELY on cookie sheet, they'll sink down
