Step:

  1. Cook/Warm Udon Noodles as instructed, then drain well.

  2. Place all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix.

  3. Slice Pork steak(s) or a block of Pork as thin as you can. Give 1 pinch of Salt and massage, sprinkle Potato Starch over and coat the pork slices with it. This layer of starch will turn to jelly-like when combined with the sauce.

  4. Heat Oil in a frying pan and cook Pork until nicely browned. Add the sauce and stir to combine well.

  5. Place drained warm Udon Noodles in a bowl, cover with the pork mixture and enjoy. *Note: You can enjoy this dish with freshly cooked rice as well.


Ingredients

  1. 2 servings Udon Noodles
  2. 200-250 g Pork *thinly sliced, can be Beef or Chicken
  3. 1 pinch Salt
  4. 1 tablespoon (or more) Potato Starch Flour
  5. 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil / Canola Oil
  6. <Sauce Ingredients>
  7. 1 clove Garlic *grated
  8. 1 small piece Ginger *grated
  9. 2-3 Spring Onion *finely chopped
  10. 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  11. 2 tablespoons Mirin
  12. 3-4 tablespoons Water
  13. 1-2 teaspoons Toban Djan (Chili Bean Sauce)
  14. 1-2 teaspoons Sugar *optional, only if you like the sauce sweeter
  15. 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
