Step:

  1. In a 3-qt sauce pan over medium heat, in hot oil, cook onion and garlic until tender, stirring frequently, about 10 mins.

  2. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients, over high heat, heat to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat to medium low, partially cover and cook 30 mins. Discard bay leaf.

  4. 30 oz tomato sauce
  5. 12 oz tomato paste
  6. 2 tsp brown sugar
  7. 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  8. 1 tsp oregano leaves
  9. 1 tsp salt
  10. 1/4 tsp cracked pepper
  11. 1 bay leaf
