Step:

  1. in small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup

  2. cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened.

  3. pour mixture into a baking dish ungreased...9 x 13

  4. arrange apple slices over mixture in baking dish

  5. in medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, and vanilla...mix well

  6. dip bread slices into egg mixture, letting soak for 1 minute

  7. place bread slices over apples in baking dish

  8. cover and refrigerate overnight

  9. remove from rrefrigerator 30 minutes before baking

  10. oven at 350°F

  11. bAke, uncovered for35 to 40 minutes

  12. in medium saucepan over medium heat, combine applesauce, apple jelly, cinnamon, and ground cloveves

  13. cook u gills thoroughly heated

  14. place French toast on serving plates and cover with hot applesauce mixture

  6. 1 cup milk

  8. 9 slice day old french bread cut three fourths inch thick
  9. 1 cup applesauce
  10. 10 oz apple jelly
  11. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  12. 1 one eights tsp, ground cloves
