Step:

  1. Wash & boil amla in deep pan until tender/soft.

  2. Remove seeds & separate amla segments.

  3. Assemble all ingredients. Grind all in coarsely.

  4. Heat mustard oil in pan. Once it smoked add grinded spices.

  5. Mix all properly. Saute it for 1 minute.

  6. Add amla segments. Mix properly so that masalas coated with them. Remove from gas.

  7. Once cooled. Store in glass jar. You can eat it immediately or after 2-3 days.

  8. Amla launji can be stored for more than one year.


Ingredients

  1. 500 gm Amla (gooseberry)
  2. 50 gm fenugreek seeds (methi Ka Koriya/Dal)
  3. 20 gm mustard seeds Dal (Rai ka Koriya)
  4. 1/2 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  5. 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  7. 3-4 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
  8. to taste Salt
  9. 4-5 tbsp mustard oil
