Step:

  1. Combine sugar and soy sauce. Add garlic and ginger. (A couple tablespoons of Saki or other white wine is a nice touch, but optional.)

  2. Stir until sugar is completely smooth (no longer "grainy").

  3. Pour into a pretty salad dressing bottle or a jar.

  1. 1 cup soy sauce
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  4. 1/2 tsp grated ginger
