Step:
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Rub the ribs with your seasoning of choice.
Put the ribs in a large pan that will hold the whole slab.
Add enough water to just cover the bottom of the pan.
Cover with foil and bake for 3 hours.
Cut into pieces or remove the meat from the bones.
Cover and keep warm.
Add the sauerkraut to the liquid in the pan.
Make sure sauerkraut is at least halfway covered with liquid. If you need to, add water.
Put in the oven and cook about 1 hour.
When the sauerkraut is your desired doneness, remove the pan from the oven.
Serve with the ribs and enjoy.
Ingredients
3 to 5 pounds slab spareribs or baby back ribs
1 cup water (approximately)
1 32 ounce jar sauerkraut, rinsed
1 to 2 tablespoons of your favorite rib seasoning (rib rub from Penzey's is a great choice)
