Step:

  1. Get steaks to room temp. On both sides, rub steaks with salt, pepper and paprika. Pour Worcestershire over the top. Preheat oven to 425

  2. In an oven safe skillet, add oil and garlic on medium high heat. Once hot, put steaks in. Sear on each side for about 1.5 min.

  3. Add red wine, once it's reduced, turn heat to medium and add broth and parsley. Put a tbsp of butter on top each steak and put them in the oven (in the skillet they were cooking in on the stove)

  4. Cook in the oven for about 12 min, for medium rare. My steaks were pretty thin, so you may need to adjust the cooking time if yours are thick.

  5. After you pull them out of the oven, let rest on a cutting board or plate for 5 min before serving.

Ingredients

  1. 2 (8 oz) filet mignon
  2. 2 tbsp butter
  3. 2 tbsp olive oil
  4. 1/4 cup red wine
  5. 1/4 cup beef broth
  6. 3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  7. 2 tbsp cracked pepper
  8. 1 tbsp salt
  9. 1 tbsp parsley
  10. 1 tbsp paprika
  11. 2 garlic cloves, cut in slivers
