Gather ingredients.

On the stove: melt the butter and chocolate.

Keep stirring until the chocolate is melted. Transfer to a separate bowl.

Add the sugar and brown sugar. Mix well.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix.

Transfer to baking pan. At 350°F, bake for about 30 minutes.
