  1. beat butter on low speed until creamy, about 3 minutes. add vanilla & beat 1 minute. gradually add powdered sugar & salt & beat another 3 minutes, until light & fluffy. add candies & food coloring, then beat another 2-3 minutes, until creamy & blended
