Step:

  1. Gently place eggs in a pot large enough to leave the eggs in a single layer. Fill with enough cold water to cover eggs by 1 inch.

  2. Place uncovered on stove over medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Turn off heat, but leave on burner. Place lid on pot. Let sit covered for 9 minutes.

  3. After time remove from stove. Pour off hot water (careful not to dump any eggs, ha!). Fill pot with cold water, pour off, repeat until water in pot stays cold, and pot is cool to the touch.

  4. When water stays cold when added leave pot full with enough to cover eggs. Leave to soak 30 minutes to 1 hour to fully cool eggs.

  5. Peel and prepare for whatever use you have in mind. Note: There are a million "tricks" for easily peeled eggs, but it truly is best to use "less than fresh" eggs. About a week after purchase is best.
