Step:

  1. Cut the basil leaves, wash them and set them aside to drain thoroughly.

  2. Place them in a jar with a lid and add olive oil until you cover them completely and even allow some extra olive oil on top. Close with the lid and store in the fridge.

  3. The oil with the basil will solidify and every time you want to have some basil in your sauce you can take a tsp of the olive oil - basil mixture and add it to the sauce.

  4. The basil leaves will be as if you have just cut them off the plant and the oil will be perfectly flavored.
