Step:
Soak the dried fruits in the tepid water or the juice.
As soon as it cools a little add the sugar, the egg and the oil.
Mix thoroughly.
Add the baking soda to the oats.
Then add the oats and mix once more.
Finally add the nuts.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Brush two loaf pans with butter.
Pour the mixture into the two loaf pans.
Bake at 180°C for about 1 hour. Twenty minutes before the end cover with aluminum foil so that they don't burn.

250 g dried fruits cut in half (prunes, apricots...)
250 g nuts (walnuts, almonds, etc.) coarsely cut
1 cup demerara or dark brown sugar
1 cup tepid water or orange juice
1 1/2 cup oats (you might need a little more)
1 tsp baking soda
1 little salt
1 egg
2 tbsp oil
1 little butter for brushing
