Step:

  1. Take a cookware dish and keep on medium flame and add oil. Then add chopped onions let it fry till its light brown then immediately add ginger garlic paste saut a little.

  2. Then add water around 2 glasses or as required and all spices of Garam masala mentioned above then add salt & coriander leaves.

  3. Let the water come to a hot boil then add the soaked rice with masoor dal keep it for one more boil then simmer flame & cover the lid for about 5 minutes then off the flame

  4. The deliciously awesome khichdi is ready to enjoy with tamatar gosh or any tomato curry, Keema, pickles, papad & ghee.

  5. Tip of the day: Make sure the rice is not overcooked it wont look nice so add water accordingly in rice. And as always I say never serve it right from the stove immediately let it settle for 10 minutes then when u serve it rice looks very nice & non-sticky.

  1. 600 basmati rice
  2. 1/2 cup dal Masoor
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  5. 1/2 turmeric powder
  6. 2 teaspoons salt
  7. 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  8. 4-6 cloves
  9. 4-5 cardamoms
  10. 1/2 teaspoon shahizeera
  11. Ghee / oil cooking
  12. 2 Green chilis
  13. Few leaves of Coriander
