Step:

  1. Pat dry salmon with paper towel and let sit for 20 minutes at room temperature. Preheat oven to 375

  2. Place salmon on foil lined baking pan. Season with pepper (and salt if you wanted some, I dont find that I need it) spread minced garlic over fish and then pull leaves of fresh thyme off and spread as well. (Sprinkle chili powder if desired and put lemon on if desired) Then drizzle the oil on top.

  3. Place in oven on middle rack for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness of salmon. Should be opaque in color and fish should slide right apart.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb salmon
  2. 1/2-1 teaspoon oil
  3. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  4. Pepper to taste (your call)
  5. 3-4 sprigs fresh thyme
  6. to taste Optional add some chili powder
  7. Optional add lemon slices on top of salmon and half a lemon squeezed on top
