To make idli batter, soak sooji in dahi and sufficient water.
The consistency of batter should not be too thick or thin, just Cover it and let it rest for 1/2 an hour.
Check on the batter for it's consistency and then add salt and baking soda to it. Mix well.

Heat water in a steamer.
Grease mini-idli mould with some oil or ghee.
Pour the batter into the mould. Place stand in the steamer.
Cover the lid and let it steam until done. It will done in 10 minutes.
After the idli is done, let it cool slightly and demould into a bowl. Repeat for the remaining batter.
Heat some oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves and let them saute.
