Step:

  1. First of all in a pot fill half of water and boil rice with food colour in it 80% you have to cook rice

  2. Then strain out the water and in a pot add ghee/oil add crushed cardamoms when it releases it's aroma fragrance add rice and put sugar on top of the rice mix it all together then put on (dum) low flame until oil comes out from the corners

  3. When Zarda is done garnish it with tutti frutti,khoya,nuts mithaye and serve hot and enjoy !

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups sella rice
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 1/2 cup ghee
  4. Gulaab jamun/cham cham mithaye for garnishing
  5. Pheeka khoya/unsweetened khoya
  6. Few green cardamoms
  7. 1/2 cup colourful tutti frutti for garnishing
  8. Pistachio,almond,cashew nuts for garnishing
  9. Water for boiling rice
  10. 1/2 tspn yellow food colour
