Step:

  1. Marinate chicken with lemon juice and little salt for 1 hour.Meanwhile make a paste of 1 onion alongwith cashewnuts and melon seeds/charmagaz.Also add chopped tomato,curd, ginger and green chilli and make a paste.

Heat oil and butter or ghee in a pan.Fry 1 finely chopped onion golden brown and set aside.Sprinkle whole garam masala and lightly fry the chicken.Add the ground paste to the chicken and toss.Add other dry masalas,salt and 1 pinch sugar.Toss all with chicken and add a cup of water approximately. Add crushed kasoori methi.Cook on low flame till chicken is done and masala coats chicken.

  3. Garnish with chopped coriander,nuts and malai. Serve hot with naan or any Indian flat breads or pulao.

Ingredients

  1. 500 gm chicken
  2. 1 onion paste
  3. 1 onion chopped finely
  4. 2 tsp ginger paste
  5. 7-8 cashew nuts
  6. 2 tsp melon seeds
  7. 1 tbsp malai or fresh cream
  8. 2 tbsp refined oil
  9. 1 tbsp butter or ghee
  10. 1 tsp crushed kasoori methi
  11. 1 tsp ajwain /carom seeds
  12. 2 cloves
  13. 1 small stick cinnamon
  14. 2 cardamoms
  15. 1 tsp tandoori chicken masala
  16. 1 pinch orange red food colour
  17. 2 tbsp curd
  18. 2 tbsp fresh tomato puree
  19. 1 green chilli paste
  20. To taste salt
  21. 1 pinch sugar
  22. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  23. 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  24. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  25. 1 tbsp chopped coriander
