Step:
Wash and soak toor dal in enough water and then pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles. Let pressure cooker cool down.
Meanwhile take wheat flour in big plate. Add all the ingredients listed for Dhokli except water to the flour and mix well. Add water intermittently and make soft dough and keep aside for 10 mins.
With the help of the hand blender, blend cooked dal to a smooth batter and keep the dal in a big vessel on gas on low flame. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, salt and mix well. Now add jaggery and tamarind (along with water) and mix. Now add peanuts and required water and mix all well.
Now make a lemon size ball from the dough. With the help of the rolling, roll into a little thick roti. With the help of knife cut roti into squares or rectangle shape and put them in dal mixture. Same way prepare dhokli from the dough and put in dal and let it cook on low flame.
Tadka - Heat up the oil/ghee in tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, jeera and methi seeds. Let it crackle and then add hing and curry leaves. Immediately pour tadka on dal and mix everything well. Cook for 10 mins on low flame stirring gently in between. Switch off the flame.
Garnish with chopped green coriander leaves and serve sweet and sour tangy Dal Dhokli.
