Full Job Description

• Qualification from DVM

• MUST LOVE PETS & must be courteous & pleasant to the clients & co-workers
• Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
• Can handle advise from management & colleague very well and must be very responsible towards their cases
• Hardworking, able to handle stress and reprimands from co-worker, work in team
• Adaptable to change, find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
• Must have passionate to learn independently
• Good problem-solving skills, critical observer-thinker
• Must be able to work with/hold/hug cats & comfortable holding and restrain pets
• Must be able to work in shifts and long hours if needed

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consultation

1-To greet the customers while calling their names and help them to carry the carriers into the consult room.

2-Veterinarian is responsible to examine pets to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries.

3-Be able to restrain pet during the consultation.

4-Examine patients to assess general physical condition.

5-To provide the BEST advice for their pets well-being which include management, nutrition and healthcare.

6-To give the quotations before proceed with any treatments

7-All consult rooms need to be cleaned and perfumed every time after use. Laptops need to be wiped and all equipment need to be taken care of.

• Treatment

1-Treat sick or injured pets by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.

2-Once physical examination performed, Veterinarian is responsible to advice owner on the condition of their pets if the pets required to be warded, need to perform surgery or prescribe medication only.

3-If the pets are sick, please request for warded for monitoring purposes (upon approval from owner) or prescribe medication to be taken at home but a following appointment is required.

4-To always ask if the owner know how to do pilling at home. If not, advice to warded and also teach them the proper way to do it.

• Surgery

1-Veterinarian need to perform surgery (such as OHE, castration, etc)

2-After the surgery, Veterinarian is responsible to clean the surgical instruments, table and OT and must be able to take care the surgical instruments given.

3-Ensure the consultation Room and Surgery Room are in clean environment and disinfected every time after use.

4-Ensure all equipment and machines are in order and good condition and to clean after use.

• Dental Scaling, Tests & Other Equipment

1-Dental scaling-need to know when to use and how to use it properly. Example, when it’s the right time to give triamcinolone and when to use wood’s lamp for tartar.

2-Veterinarian need to perform blood test, virus test using the available equipment or test kits to aid in diagnosis and must know the function and know how interpret the result of each of the test.

3-To greet the customers while calling their names and help them to carry the carriers into the consult room.
