Step:

  1. Wash whole white urad/ Dal 3-4 times in water. Soak in enough water for 6 hours or overnight. Discard the soaked water. Grind soaked urad/ dal in wet grinder to smooth paste. Put grinded urad/dal mixture in container.

  2. Beat this grinded urad mixture with hand continuously for 10 mins to make soft fluffy batter. Keep cover for 1 hour. Add salt, cummin seeds and finely chopped green chillies.

  3. Heat oil in kadhai. Take a tea strainer on it place lump of prepared urad dal mixture as shown. With wet finger make hole in center. Drop in hot oil. Similarly prepared 2-3 more wada. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown in colour

  4. Serve/Relish Delicious Hot Medu Wada with coconut chutney and sambhar along with hot coffee and banana.

  1. 250 gm whole white urad/ dal
  2. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  3. 1-2 finely chopped green chillies
  4. to taste Salt
  5. Oil for frying
  6. To serve:
  7. Coconut chutney
  8. Sambhar
  9. Banana
