Step:
Put all the ingredients at one place like soya granules, finely chopped ginger and green chillies, coriander leaves, lotus stem sticks, pudina powder with sesame seeds, garlic paste, salt and amchur powder
These are chopped lotus stems, the lotus stems should be washed very nicely as these are full of mud, then peel it nicely and then finally cut them, in a pan cover and cook these for 5 minutes, until becomes little soft
In the same way cook soaked chana dal and soya granules in a pan, by sprinkling some water, until becomes little soft, when these cools down then put them in a mixer grinder along with chopped lotus stems, chopped ginger and green chillies
Grind them nicely, at first they will be little crumbly
To make it smooth paste add little water and grind it again
Take out the smooth mixture in a bowl
Add pudina powder with sesame seeds, garlic paste, salt, amchur powder and chopped coriander leaves
Mix well with your hands, it will become like a dough, with the help of little water, make medium sized ball from the mixture
Flatten the ball in your palm
Place the lotus stem stick in the center
Seal it nicely from all the sides, thus giving it the shape of a chop
Heat oil for deep frying, first on high flame, then make the flame medium
Slowly slide the ready chop in the hot oil
Fry it on medium heat, by turning it at regular intervals, until becomes golden brown
When it is fried nicely then take it out by removing excess oil
And take it out in an absorbant paper, so that it soaks the extra oil
In the same way make all the chops
Arrange them in a serving platter, garnish with fresh mint leaves
Garnish with onion rings also
Serve with a lemon slice, tomato sauce and green chutney
