Step:

  1. Cream together sugar and butter. Add egg, vanilla, cream of tartar. Cream the mixture again. Mix in flour and soda.

  2. Put dough through cookie tube using saw tooth form. Cut in 3" lengths, wreaths in figure 8 when the star form is used.

  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
