Step:

  1. Heat your oil in a deep fryer or Dutch oven until it reaches 365 degrees.

  2. Then while the oil is heating combine the gluten free flour baking powder and salt in one bowl and set it aside

  3. Next whisk the egg and milk together in a separate bowl.

  4. After that get a wire rack with paper towels or aluminum foil underneath for easy cleanup.

  5. Then, spread out the gluten free breadcrumbs on a plate or in a baking dish.

  6. Once the oil is hot enough, dip each onion slice into the gluten free flour and baking powder mixture followed by the milk and egg.

  7. Set the onion rings on the wire rack, allowing the excess batter to drip off before coating in the gluten free breadcrumbs.

  8. Fry a few onion rings at a time for about two to three minutes each or until light golden brown.

  9. Once they're finished, let drain on paper towels and sprinkle with seasoned salt.

  1. 1 -quart Oil, for frying
  2. 1 large Onion, cut in -inch slices
  3. 1 1/4 Cup gluten free flour
  4. 1 tsp Baking Powder
  5. 1 tablespoon Salt
  6. 1 Egg but I use an eggless egg
  7. 1 C Milk, plus more as needed
  8. 3/4 C Dry Gluten free breadcrumbs
  9. Seasoned Salt
