Step:

  1. Bring the water with salt to boil and stir in the grits. Cook stirring often to eliminate lumps. After 5-7 minutes they should be ready to remove from heat and add butter.

  2. Beat the eggs and add the salt and pepper. Add the hotdog to a slice of bread. Heat the oil.

  4. Dip the bread into the egg and then wrap with bacon removing the toothpicks as you wrap it.

  5. Fry the hotdogs open side of bread down. 3 minutes.

  6. Turn and fry the opposite side. 3 minutes.

  7. Turn on side 3 minutes till all is fried move to a paper towel to absorb excessive amounts of oil.

  8. Add the 2 tablespoons of butter to a pan melt and scramble the remaining eggs. Set aside.

  9. Quarter the potatoes and fry in the oil you fried the hotdogs in.

  1. Hotdogs----------------
  2. 1/2 pound hotdogs 4 of them
  3. 4 slices bread
  4. 1/4 pound Bacon 4 slices
  5. 6 large eggs
  6. To taste kosher salt
  7. To taste ground black pepper
  8. As needed oil to fry in
  9. Grits----------------------------
  10. 1-1/2 cup grits
  11. 5 cups water
  12. 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  13. 2 tablespoons butter
  14. Potatoes--------------------
  15. To taste kosher salt
  16. 1/2 pound new potatoes, white
  17. Extra needed---------------------
  18. 2 tablespoons butter
