Step:

  1. Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder. Keep it aside.

  2. In a big mixing bowl add soft butter and sugar and mix well.

  3. Add egg and blend with the butter mixture.

  4. Then add all the other ingredients and make a soft dough.

  5. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

  6. Set oven at pre heat mode for 10 minutes at 170 degree Centigrade.

  7. Take out dough from refrigerator. Make lime size balls out of the dough and place them in greased baking tray. Keep some gap between the balls, as they will double in size while baking.

  8. Bake them for about 12 minutes or till edges of the cookies become light brown in colour.

  9. Take out the cookies and transfer them in wired rack very carefully, as hot cookies will be soft in texture.

  10. Oat cookies will be ready to enjoy as they become cool. They will be little chewy in texture.

  11. Note: be careful to handle the hot cookies. Otherwise they might break. You can spread one baking sheet in the baking tray before placing the cookie balls. It will help to transfer the cookies easily.
