Step:
Clean & soak dal for 4 hours
Pressure cook the dal for 4-5 whistle so that dal cooks completely.
Drain the cooked dal and grind it to make paste. Traditionally it is done with "sil batta" but I used grinder.
Now mix salt, 1/2 tsp Haldi and red chilli powder with the paste and mix well. Add chopped green chillies and curry leaves also.
Keep aside the Stuffing.
Now with 1 cup of wheat flour add little salt, remaining haldi and red chilli powder.
Make a normal chapati dough.
Now take a small portion of dough and make a patty. Stuff some prepared dal mixture and seal nicely.
Dust the kitchen top and make a thick roti by rolling with light hand. Be careful not to come out the Stuffing.
Heat a skillet or tawa and roast the paratha in low flame so that it cooks from inside also. Bast paratha with ghee/butter time to time.
Delicious paratha is ready to serve. Enjoy with any side dish or simply with bhang/til ki chutney.
