Step:

  1. In 12-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink. Drain well and rinse.

  2. Stir in pasta sauce and 1 cup water. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.

  3. In medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese or cottage cheese with chives, oregano and egg.

  4. In ungreased 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish or lasagna pan, spread 1-1.2 cups of the meat sauce. Top with half each of the uncooked noodles, cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese and ALL the spinach leaves.

  5. Repeat with 1-1/2 cups meat sauce and remaining noodles, cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese.

  6. Top with remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  7. Cover; refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.

  8. Heat oven to 350°F. Uncover baking dish; bake 50 - 60 minutes or until noodles are tender and casserole is bubbly.

  9. Cover and let stand 15 minutes before serving.
