Step:

  1. If your shrimp are raw, steam them until pink, about 5 minutes, then run them under cold water to stop the cooking.

  2. Chill until ready to serve.

  3. Mix the celery, horseradish, lemon juice, hot sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, and vegetable juice together and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Pour the sauce into 4 martini glasses and surround the rims with chilled shrimp.

  5. Serve lemon wedges on cocktail forks alongside the glasses.

  6. *To add an extra elegant flair, decorate the glasses with a swirl of lemon peel or frost them in the freezer.*

  7. **Also keep a bowl nearby for the tails so your guests don't feel like they have to eat them.**

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail on, or buy them precooked
  2. 2 ribs celery, finely chopped
  3. 1 tsp hot sauce
  4. 1 juice of 1/2 lemon
  5. 1/2 cup chili sauce
  6. 1/2 cup ketchup
  7. 1/2 cup vegetable juice (I use V8)
  8. 1 salt to taste
  9. 1 pepper to taste
  10. 1 lemon, wedged
  11. 2 rounded spoonfuls prepared horseradish
