Laura Ingalls Wilder's Boiled Chocolate Frosting

Mix sugar and cocoa together.

Add milk, a little at a time, then the butter.

Boil for 6 minutes.

Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Let cool.

Beat until creamy.

*You may add 1 teaspoon table syrup when adding the vanilla, to prevent sugaring.*
