  1. Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce for 5 minutes.

  3. Let cool to room temperature.

  4. Transfer to a spray bottle and use right away or refrigerate.

  5. Use within 1 or 2 days of making.

  6. *This recipe makes about 4 1/2 cups which should be enough for about 4 pounds of meat.*

  7. **If you don't want to use a spray bottle, you can use a basting brush or mop.**

  8. ***This tastes great on roasted or smoked meat, and is recommended for use on chicken or ribs.***
