Step:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, sugar, hot water, and Tabasco sauce.

  2. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. Pour the marinade over the pork, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

  5. Remove the pork from the marinade and place in a baking pan.

  6. Save the marinade.

  7. Roast the pork until browned, about 1 hour.

  8. Reduce the oven temperature to 300°F.

  9. Pour some of the reserved marinade over the pork.

  10. Cover and slow roast for an additional 2 hours, or until the meat pulls away from the bones easily.

  11. Pull the pork apart into long shreds using 2 forks.

  12. *You can also prepare this in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4.*
