Step:

  1. brown beef in hot oil in a large heavy kettle. if not u can use any large pot.

  2. add jalapenos, onion, garlic,tomatillos and green pepper to the beef. toss together.

  3. add rest of ingredients. mix well. bring to a full boil.

  4. reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours our until beef is very tender.

  6. I've made this once and my dad makes this alot in the winter. I don't add the hot peppers at all cuz I can't do spicy. but this chili is to die for


Ingredients

  1. 2 lb beef chuck, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1 medium onion, chopped
  4. 2 clove garlic, minced
  5. 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  6. 8 tomatillos, husked, washed and chopped
  7. 3 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  8. 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  9. 1 8oz. can tomato sauce
  10. 1 tbsp paprika
  11. 3/4 tsp salt
  12. 2 tsp crushed cumin seeds
  13. 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  14. 5 fresh jalapeno peppers, diced [discard seeds and membranes] or for extra hot use habanero chili peppers
