Step:

  1. In a pot on high heat, bring salted water to a boil.

  2. Quarter potatoes and peel if desired. Add potatoes to the boiling water.

  3. Chop or break the cauliiflower into florets and add to the pot on top of the potatoes. After 8 -10 minutes (or when cauliflower is knife tender), remove the cauliflower and set aside in a bowl.

  4. After another 5-7 minutes (when potatoes are knife tender), turn the heat to low and drain off the excess water.

  5. Add the cauliflower, milk, butter, garlic, pepper, and Brady Street Sprinkle (or substitute) to the pot with the potatoes.

  6. Mash to your preferred consistancy. (I prefer mine slightly chunky), then stir in the cheese.

  7. Serve while hot and enjoy the fact that you tricked them into eating more veggies!

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 lb potatoes
  2. 1/2 head cauliflower
  3. 1/2 cup milk
  4. 2 tbsp butter
  5. 3/4 cup shredded cheese ( I use 5 Italian cheese blend from the grocery store)
  6. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp granulated garlic to taste
  7. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
  8. 1 I also add 1 tbsp Brady Street Cheese Sprinkle from Penzey's Spices, but I'm sure there are other spices you could use. It is made of salt, garlic, parsley, basil, green pepper corn, salt, & Romano cheese.
